City of Trees Challenge

Our Boise parks system is one of the things that makes our community a wonderful place to live, work and play. And trees are a big part of what makes our parks and city so special – Boise is the City of Trees, after all. Are you aware of all the benefits trees provide in addition to their natural beauty?

  • Environmental benefits: The urban forest provides clean air, clean water, and reduced residential energy use during peak summer months.
  • Community benefits: enhanced quality of life for all and economic vitality in our city centers, increased residential property values, and shade during the heat of summer months.

In keeping with our desire to make Boise a better city for all, LoveBoiseParks is proud to partner with the Treasure Valley Canopy Network and join the City of Trees Challenge. Every City of Trees Challenge shirt you buy generates funds to plant two forest seedlings! Click to buy a shirt now.

The City of Trees Challenge aims to plant one tree for every household in the city and one seedling for every person in the city. The Treasure Valley Canopy Network works to plant, grow, and maintain the right tree in the right place for the benefit of our kids and grandkids.
